Since 2001, we have operated Sydney’s light rail and monorail on behalf of Metro Transport Sydney.

The monorail runs above ground in the heart of Sydney and the light rail extends from the centre of the city through to the inner western suburbs. These popular and iconic transport systems are used by over 8 million passengers every year. 

We are delighted to be working with Metro Transport Sydney on a significant extension of the light rail, increasing the line by 5.6km to the suburb of Dulwich Hill in Sydney’s Inner West. Nine new stations will be added to the network as part of this extension.

Recently our team of almost 150 employees has made significant improvements to the services, including installing brand new air-conditioning units and upgrading technology to improve reliability. We are also making significant improvements to our ticketing systems.

We play an important role in the local area, working with communities in Sydney’s south-west to reduce vandalism on the light rail system.
